Postbank
Postbank is the fourth largest bank by assets in Bulgaria, with a wide branch network across the country and a significant customer base of citizens, companies, and institutions.
In July 2025 the international rating agency Moody’s upgraded Postbank’s long-term deposit rating to A3. The updated rating for the bank reflects its stable capitalization, efficiency, strong recurring profitability and solid financial performance. Postbank has a long-term credit rating of BBB+, stable outlook, reaffirmed in October 2025 by the Bulgarian Credit Rating Agency (BCRA). The ratings are recognition of the success and efficiency of the bank’s business activities.
Postbank has a 35-year presence among the leaders of the banking market in Bulgaria. The bank has been a leading factor in innovations and trend-setting in the country's banking sector in recent years and has been repeatedly awarded for its innovations. Postbank holds a strategic position in retail and corporate banking in Bulgaria. It is one of the market leaders in credit and debit cards, mortgage and consumer lending, savings products, as well as in products for corporate clients – from small businesses to large international companies with a presence in the country.
Postbank completed in a few years three successful deals, acquiring and integrating for a record time first Alfa Bank - a branch of Bulgaria, and then Piraeus Bank Bulgaria. In 2023 Postbank has successfully completed the deal for the acquisition of the commercial enterprise and the activity of BNP Paribas Personal Finance, the Bulgarian branch of BNP Paribas Personal Finance S.A., France. These deals are steps to strengthen its position as a systemic bank on the market and to expand its customer base.
