In 1895, Daniel Swarovski, an inventor and innovator from Bohemia, moved to Watens, Austria, with his new invention, a machine for cutting and polishing crystals for jewellery. This marked the beginning of a true revolution for the fashion world and the Swarovski brand became the world's leading manufacturer of precision cut crystals for fashion, jewellery and more recently lighting, architecture and interiors.
Today, the company is still family owned and operated by 5th generation Swarovski family members with 25,000 employees in 120 countries worldwide. VIL EOOD is the official Swarovski representative for Bulgaria and owns 8 boutiques and several multi-brand stores.
