H&M's sustainable swimwear collection
3 June, 2021
H&M is excited to present its new summer swimwear collection. To make the pieces, the brand uses sustainable materials and simple cuts to give women confidence. The focus of the collection is on different silhouettes suitable for everyone, regardless of body structure, capturing female strength and fierceness. The classic swimwear designs are made from leftovers from the manufacturing process and recycled polyester from plastic bottles. The collection will be available June 3 in a wide range of sizes - up to EU size 46 in stores and up to EU size 50 online at hm.com.
"I am very proud of the fabrics we used to make the swimsuits. This is the most sustainable collection we've done to date - all the models are made from at least 85% recycled polyester. We're also excited to offer a great variety of sizes," says Maria Jostblum, creative director womenswear at H&M.
The campaign film accompanying the collection, shot in Los Angeles, supports women who face criticism and negative comments on a daily basis. In it, Paloma Elsesser isolates herself from the "noise" to find strength in the silence and move forward confidently.
