Pop-up reading room of female power

March 9, 2026

This March, in the month of women, EMPROVE opens a Pop-up reading room of female power in Sofia Ring Mall - a cozy and inspiring space with selected literature, resources for timely care and knowledge, and awakening art ❤️

❗ The pop-up reading room is open every day from March 10th to April 10th on level 1 next to the Douglas store.
For another year, Sofia Ring Mall stands with EMPROVE as a partner to reach the message of more strength, support, and awareness to thousands of people. Together with IKEA, we create a cozy environment with a feeling of home. In this way, the commercial space turns into a territory for meetings, reading, and a quiet pause. And for some women, the reading room can be that place of peace and inner security that they don't always have at home.

🌸 What if an empty space is filled with meaning?

The reading room of female power will offer free access to:
– the book „See Me: Strong and Free“
– an exhibition with the visual world of the edition, created by Lada Yankova
– women's literature from the publishing houses Kota 0, Kolibri, and Enthusiast
– and resources for early care, knowledge and support.

Within the campaign, we will also mark World Poetry Day – March 21 – with a public reading of poems by popular Bulgarian poets, actresses, and poets who will breathe life into the texts and immerse us in a shared experience and a live encounter with words.

📖 About the book “See Me: Strong and Free”
„Look at me: strong and free“ is a poetic collection that reflects the emotions, experiences, and spirit of #WomenSurvivors - the first Bulgarian community of women who have overcome violence in their past, for women who have embarked on change and a new life. Instead of the shame and social taboo surrounding this topic, they choose to turn their personal stories into inspiration through poetry.

The poems of #WomenSurvivors come to life under the artistic direction of playwright and poet Stefan Ivanov, with the guidance of seven of the most remarkable contemporary female poets in Bulgaria, whose works you will also find in the book: Albena Todorova, Bilyana Dimova, Eva Gocheva, Kamelia Panayotova, Nadezhda Radulova, Reneta Bakalova, and Silvia Choleva. “Look at me: strong and free” is filled with illustrations by the artist Lada Yankova, whose visual interpretations add additional depth to the poems and enrich the experience of encountering them. It is distributed by the publishing house Kota 0.

❤️ For the partners without whom this reading room would not have happened
Thanks to IKEA Bulgaria, Publishing House Kota 0 and Chateau Copsa - partners who consciously use their role and access to a wide and diverse audience to give space and voice to significant social causes.
