dm drogerie markt is one of the largest drugstore chains in Central and Eastern Europe. The first store was opened in 1973 in Karlsruhe, Germany, and the first branch in Austria in 1976 in Linz. The group's headquarters is located in Salzburg, Austria. Today, the dm brand is represented in 14 countries in Europe.
dm Bulgaria joined the group on 29 January 2009 with its first drug store in Vidin. To date, the branch network consists of 120 stores in 44 cities across the country, and the company's employees number over 1,500.
The dm assortment covers over 16,000 drugstore goods such as an extremely large number of cosmetics, perfumes, home goods, pet food, baby products and many more. The diverse assortment is also complemented by over 30 of dm's own brands, the most popular among them being Balea, babylove, alverde, Dontodent, Denkmit, Profissimo and dmBio are the most popular among them. The drug stores of dm Bulgaria do not offer medicines and medical devices.
